school morning routines I love

School days routine I love, school holidays routine not so loved.

My school days have always run practically the same for 20 years. (OMG youngest is in year 2...10 years of school days to go) Up no later than 7.30 ( but most days  7am) By this time I would expect to see the primary school kids breakfast done and nearly dressed. When I had 6 to get to school the big kids helped the little kids get this done. I have been lucky enough to have my hubby home for 2 school days a week on a changing roster..

The days I have the school mornings, I finish off their lunches while they collect homework hats and whatever they need that day...The primary kids like to get to school and play before the bell..so if they can be seat belted  in car by 8am I will take them and come back to do the high schoolers..if not we yell and scream for them to please hurry and get in car so we all are not late..most days this happens. On my way to the car I take down and put on a load of wash. The school run is a round half hr drive...couple times a week call in to get couple groceries, when I get home I hang out the late afternoon load from previous day, by that time the fresh morning load is finished for me to hang, another load goes on. Then upstairs I go, and big rule is never turn on pc or start crafting till dishes and  living areas tidied, wiped, swept and mopped if needed, toilet and bathroom basin is usually  cleaned and wiped over on one of my visits there through the day, lol. Rest of the day is mine which usually is from 10/11ish am. Even with babies and littlies this was still the routine just couple other things in there to do, baths, feeds and nappy changes. when the kids were 3ish they spent 2 days a week at daycare gave them a chance to craft and paint and play with others their own age, they all loved their daycare days and so did I. Lunch- if I want lunch it is eaten watching what ever is on  tv at midday/ish. Twice a week lunch is at a friends house who I visit weekly (or try to). I leave the visitors at school pickup time.
If  I ever have to go out or downstairs I will always take a load of wash to put on before I get in car, even if I have to go find some from the kids rooms..if there is not a collection of clean or dirty clothes on the floor to wash, I will drag off some sheets and wash them. always something to wash.
On my return school run, wash is hung out and drys brought up and dumped on lounge. then every couple of days while sitting near the pile I will sort them into groups for the owners to take to their rooms and put away ( I gave up folding a few years ago  because I would go to the rooms and the clothes were just thrown and shoved in one draw or basket) Afternoons always  busy with sports practice trips, afternoon snacks, dinner, dishes, shower's, homeworks, bed times. phew 8.30 pm.. me time again till I have to go to bed before I crash on the desk.

Hubbys days off I get to clean house and iron and do extra little chores(dust, unclutter, change sheets etc.) while he is doing school routine.

Oh and school holidays..way different story!! crazy, noisy, fun days with never a dull moment.

I'm glad I got to do this post..school photo's were sorted and tidied again...went to bed at 2.30am with scanning still not finish till now.

Am I just a twit and addicted to tweeting?

OH my goodness, I have fallen in love with tweeting and reading tweets..how can you not? there is so many talented and interesting writers out there in tweet and blog world...It very exciting to wake up in morning and see you have new followers and people that have visited your blog. While I am enjoying my new addiction I will still be doing just this for my enjoyment, and why not, I don't drink or smoke or shop, so Hubby and kids n teens has to be happy with that

While sitting here reading tweets and catching up on my fellow bloggers posts over the last week have realised I have a few ATC's to catch up on, so tomorrow no pc activities till I have my cards on the way 4 IOU'S and have a serious think about Aprils theme which is "hot" (which involves the pc,hehe).

So for now big thx to my tweet followers and blog readers.

Below is 2 great blogs to get lost in for enough time to have a bottomless cup of tea or coffee.

I want a sculpture.

Ok..just sitting here and thinking and just realised you can not even count 27 on all your fingers and toes...does that mean we been together seven years too long? I think not, since a anniversary can only happen when there is two, phew! with the joining of both our fingers and toes we have a good 13 year left before we might lose count.

27th anniversary: Sculpture

This anniversary gives you a great opportunity to buy a lovely sculpture - either for inside your home or for your garden. You might even decide to take a class and make something yourself!

An anniversary is a time of reflection of the event that was experienced. It is healthy and natural to remember an event on the anniversary of the day it occurred. Moments of joy should be celebrated with joy. The same goes for sad occasions. These should not be ignored. Anniversaries of weddings and engagements are times to renew the love and affection that was felt during those times. They are an opportunity to bring the marriage to a higher level.

I Know My Life

My Girlfriend is now my wife,
It happened 27 years ago and changed our life.

We have heard people complain as they age of what they may have missed,
well if they complain then that is for them, because for 27 years we have shared a kiss.

We know not of things we could have had in a life that is past,
we do know that we are blessed with love, a love that lasts.

If we look back in time and say, “I missed something we desire,”
we think of our love and to say we would trade a thing would make us a liar.

We could look back in time and say, “I could have had”
we had each other, to want anything else would be just mad.

I know as a young wife I gave up what some may feel were the best years of their lives
Well I gave up nothing, I feel sorrow for them, I had more because you are my life

Yes, I know how we both  look back in time,
And would not change a thing because we are still in our prime.

Regret, why should we do such a thing,
for we have so much more that life can bring.

They had fast cars and fast times,
we have each other, and we doing just fine.

What did they have that we did not,
Well what ever it was, it wasn't a lot.

Together we are our past, our present, our future,
We have lived our past, and in our present and blessed to have a future.

We had more joy, more laughter, more love and more pleasure,
Because what we both have is surely something to treasure.

Happy Anniversary to us today and many more to come.

Another fad idea?

After being yoyo dieter for ever I have decided to try a change of life eating plan instead, so as of a month ago myself and most of the time (son Matt) have been following the 'O' type blood eating plan. I may not have lost a lot of weight in the month (4kg) my body and skin has improved heaps.  when we first studied the chart we both said no-way would never be able to do that, but it has been quite easy and interesting and now I quite like it. yes I might not stick at it but for now I am going full steam and giving it my best. It is so very interesting to know what us 'O' types can eat and cannot eat.. I believe my whole family is 'O'

BELOW IS LINK TO OPEN THE FOOD CHART FOR 'O' TYPE

http://www.drlam.com/blood_type_diet/blood_o_chart.asp

Type Os thrive on intense physical exercise and animal protein. Unlike the other blood types, Type Os muscle tissue should be slightly on the acid side. Type Os can efficiently digest and metabolize meat because they tend to have high stomach-acid content. The success of the Type O Diet depends on the use of lean, chemical-free meats, poultry, and fish. Type Os don't find dairy products and grains quite as user friendly as do most of the other blood types.

The initial weight loss on the Type O Diet is by restricting consumption of grains, breads, legumes, and beans. The leading factor in weight gain for Type Os is the gluten found in wheat germ and whole wheat products, which interferes with insulin efficiency and slow down metabolic rate. Another factor that contribute to weight gain is certain beans and legumes (lentils and kidney beans) contain lectins that deposit in the muscle tissues making them less "charged" for physical activity. The third factor in Type O weight gain is that Type Os have a tendency to have low levels of thyroid hormone or unstable thyroid functions, which also cause metabolic problems. Therefore it is good to avoid food that inhibits thyroid hormone (cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, mustard green) but increase hormone production (kelp, seafood, iodized salt).

Several classes of vegetables can cause big problems for Type Os, such as the Brassica family (cabbage, cauliflower, etc.) can inhibit the thyroid function. Eat more vegetables that are high in Vitamin K, which helps the clotting factor which is weak in Type Os. The nightshade vegetables can cause lectin deposit in the tissue surrounding the joints.

Because of the high acidity stomach, Type Os should eat fruits of alkaline nature such as berries and plums..

Type Os should severely restrict the use of dairy products. Their system is not designed for the proper metabolism. If you are a Type O of African ancestry, you should eliminate dairy foods and eggs altogether.

Got to be lucky sometimes!!! Last night my sons friend parents gave us their old coffee table..It was originaly a wardrobe and someone converted it to a coffee table / double bed, Inside was a spring pullout double bed. but the owners said the bed was old and not to comfy, so we took the bed out and unsecured the hinges so the lid  would open again, now its a Toybox/come storage, needs a good clean and I'm going to stain it the same colour as my tv unit and dining table. ...pic below..

Forced to spring clean.

With my second interview with the fostering department this monday at my place. They would like to interview myself and hubby and check out the living and sleeping arrangements available for the foster children. The 2 empty rooms were left as is from the "I'm leaving home children" with all their not wanted at this time belongings left all over the rooms. So a massive spring clean and box packing day had to be done. Now I have two empty clean rooms ready for some little kiddies to lay their head at night. My daughter Emily was a great help cleaning and sorting left clothes and picking up rubish while I cleaned and vacumed...

Lacey and Jaycob helped carry stuff downstairs and to bin and keep Summer occupied. Since it was a long day from 9.30am to 5pm I treated us all to takeout chinese for dinner, been so long since we had takeout dinner, yum!
Omg, since before starting this post the RAIN has been so heavy, think we going to need an ark.
Lacey and Summer had fun in the rain and mud this afternoon..I remember how much fun that was....
Oh and not to forget the next artist in family..

Freedom of speech

Sick and tired of being made feel like my words and thoughts are not right and should not be written or read.

I may not be well educated  to put sentences together that can be taken the right

way..But I don't just type without thinking because I know I need to proof read and change

things around because I myself think" that might  be taken the wrong way". But I do like to

have my say and have an  opinion on most subjects. If I cannot freely be fore or against on

subjects I would rather not be involved in the conversation or topic at all.

Freedom of speech is the freedom to speak freely without censorship or limitation, or both. The term freedom of expression is sometimes used to indicate not only freedom of verbal speech but any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas. The right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human right, the right to freedom of speech as "the right to hold opinions without interference. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression."

St Patricks Day!!

The history of St Patrick

St Patrick's Day is celebrated world wide on 17 March each year.

In Ireland St Patrick’s Day is a holiday but increasingly people from all around the world gather to celebrate all things Irish.

We are all familiar with the street parade, family picnic, green t-shirts, Irish dancing, music and pints of Guinness that signify St Patrick’s Day – but what do we know of St Patrick himself?

St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and is the person celebrated on Ireland’s national day.

Ok, so he wasn’t born Irish but he has become an integral part of the Irish heritage. His services across Ireland in the 5th century are said to have brought religion to the country. Legend also has it that St Patrick used a shamrock in his preaching to explain the Holy Trinity and that he
was responsible for banishing all the snakes from Ireland.

New venture

I have been a while thinking about this...with a little push from some friends I stopped thinking and made the call..Now my first interview is over and I passed, next interview is in the coming 10 days..eek! I hope it is going to be as rewarding as I thought it would be..I have a couple good friend that said I will be great and have them for support...Now I have you interested I will tell you my news...I'm going to be a foster Mum with the Anglican foster/restbite community....because I have emptynest syndrome, I'm going to be caring for under school age children and respite for school children on weekends. I am a tad nervous and excited, but they assured me after my 6 courses I would be at ease and ready for whatever they throw at me...The people are extremely helpfull and I am a phone call away from qualified support....

Must be time to Blog again.

Call me the" off and on "blogger, I think about blogging, then think arhh, nothing to blog, so for next few weeks I'm going to blog what I think is nothing and see what happens..
Today The little blue smurfs kept me company while I ironed. If I put on a movie I dont get as much ironing done because I get into the movie, so smurfs it was today, just 3 hrs, but it did just knock the top off the ironing pile. I started with Lacey's. When she opens her cupboard next time it will look like she has been on a shopping spree with clothes in there she has not seen since xmas, lol..Then jaycobs got done, Toms button shirts and school uniforms to last the 4 kids this week, couple of mine and couple of hubbys...

Then I baked some white chocolate bikies with the schoolies from across the road I was watching for the day.

Talked to my Kirsty on ph for bout an hour about her "lady bits troubles" Why does she have to go through this, she could have taken after me and got preg just by showering with hubby and with last couple, I'm sure it happened while I was asleep, lmao. Anyways its still not fair for them..Hope it happens very soon without the doctors help, but then today we talked about if she does get doctors help,  good possibility there will be 2 or 3 bubas at same time, therefore we wont have to share time for cuddles with 2 or 3 or even 4..omg....look out Kirst and Blake.....Thats it for now...will post up some of my latest atc pics tomorrow or next...Hugs
